There’s something about fall that makes everything feel a little more photogenic. Colorful leaves, warm sweaters, pumpkin patches, golden-hour light. Either way, you can’t go wrong!
At Flash Photo, we’ve seen it all in photography, from family portraits and passport photos to beloved pets and first dates. This season, though, we’re feeling inspired by all things autumn and want to help you turn your favorite fall moments into photos worth printing.
Just grab your friends, find a beautiful backdrop, and try one of these fun fall photoshoot ideas. When you’ve captured the perfect shots, our photo printing services can help bring them to life!
Cute Candid Poses to Try
Sometimes the best photos are the ones that aren’t overly posed. Let the fall scenery do the work!
- Throw some leaves: Toss colorful leaves into the air while laughing, jumping, or merely enjoying the moment for an effortlessly playful candid.
- Make a leaf circle: Lie on your backs in a bed of orange leaves with your heads arranged in a circle. Try smiling faces, silly expressions, or a mix of both.
- Take a stroll: Lock arms with your friends and walk away from the camera down a tree-lined street surrounded by brilliant fall colors.
Turn Your Favorite Fall Activities Into Photos
Fall is packed with activities that naturally make great photo opportunities. Heading to a pumpkin patch? This is the perfect opportunity to take candid moments while searching for the perfect pumpkin, climb onto the giant pumpkins for a fun shot, or relax among the hay bales. Visiting a local orchard? Snap your friend reaching for an apple, walking through the trees, or strolling along with a harvest-filled carriage.
For something a little more relaxed, plan a warm coffee date to beat the incoming cold weather. Find a rustic bench or curb encircled by vibrant foliage, pick your favorite seasonal drink, and let the autumn scenery become your backdrop.
Ready for Something Spookier?
Not into traditional fall photos? Try something a little more unexpected! Turn yourselves into bedsheet phantoms with white sheets. Use scissors or black markers to create the face. Find a few interesting locations and create your own silly ghostly scenes.
After your pumpkin-patch adventure, try the classic pumpkin-on-the-head photoshoot during golden hour. It might get a little messy, but the results can be hilariously cute! You could also throw on colorful monster or classic horror-inspired masks with ’90s streetwear, or gather your “coven” for a witchy photoshoot complete with antique lanterns and handmade potion bottles.
